View Full Version : My Icelandic Grey VTS *Kent cams ordered!*

Right some of you may now i used to have a Black VTS.....but recently sold it due to wanting a saxo in a different colour (yeh i no some might think wats the point but still thats me lol)

Sold this for £1400 in the end, as in the end it needed a bit of work doing to it, like new tyres, and exhaust sorting out.

Anyway a day after selling my VTS i sourced a new one and here it is

Spec
2002 (02) Icelandic Saxo VTS
68k
Tax - nov 2011
MOT - runs out this month but had pre-mot and nothing needs doing
Brand new 15" Pro Race 1.2's
Toyo Proxie tyres all round (brand new)
Just had new clutch
Also had new refurbed rear axel
Magnex s/s exhaust
Raceland cold air feed air filter

plus loads of receipts to prove of all work carried out, and nice bit of history :)

Car is very very clean, even the interior looks brand new, only thing thats wrong is a small parking ding on passenger front wing which can be sorted by dent magic

It did come with a mk1 spoiler but i didnt like it so i wacked it straight off and put a spare mk2 black spoiler on which i had laying around in my shed

Also i had to smoke the front headlights aswell, fogs will be done soon.

Yeh i does sit nicely, sits alot better then my old one, glad the alloys are 15's and not 16's tbh

i just need to buy some better rear shocks as the ride is quite bumpy at times lol

and also wanna getin a 2" supersprint exhaust for it :y:

Cheers mate.....i aint gonna do nothing else to the outside of it, maybe just spray my 16v badges black or maybe take them off completly.......and also the fog lights needs to be sprayed like the headlights, then im done.

Then start work on the engine.......im thinking ITB's on this one

Just ordered some Kent PT50 cams.......had the same ones fitted to my old VTS and they made a good difference

So they should arrive withing the next week, then ill be booking in for a remap :y:

Lol they came with the car mate, but yeh i am a fan, best looking wheels to be fitted to a saxo :y:

Nice car mate perfect stance. reminds me of mine! Did you ever smoke a starlet gt down the ring road in ur old vts? Then both got smoked by a scooby lol? Pretty sure it was ur black vts?

Yeh id did mate, i thought it was ur old starlet GT cos i seen ur progress thread of your new car, and notice ur GT from the ring roads lol :y:

Your VTS is looking very clean mate, glad to see another Icelandic one in bristol, where in bristol u from mate?

Yeah got done proper by your sax tho what was it running at the time? Surely cams? The starlet was standard except exhaust and was well surprised when you came past!
From Brentry mate by cribbs, quite far from st george.

Yeh was running kent cams, custom exhaust system from manifold back, and remapped with rev limiter raised to 7800rpm

141 bhp on std map :P

Not bad mate, mine was running 154 with a bloody good remap and rev limiter raised :)

looks sweet mate, you 1.2's look so much better on yours than mine did. will be keeping an eye on this thread :)
