View Full Version : Saxo Furio Or VTR Insurance Help
Yo people was looking before the new financial year and was getting quotes of 2.4k
So now im 18 soon to be 19 and had my license since april but the cheapest quote i can get is 3400 on a 98 1 litre polo rust bucket worth 500 pound.
I know how to do it all 3rd party and try it fully comp as some do have better prices on FC but anyway i cannot use anyones NCB so anything else people can suggest i have gone through it over and over :(
What kind of quotes have people got or how much do you pay and age and so on?...
Thanks! :y:

Normally I would say its because your trying to insure a saxo and they are always going to be more for younger drivers but if you have tried a 1l Polo and still getting high quotes then I would suggest it may be a combination of the ever lasting increase in insurance prices and your postcode rating?
What is your PC rating?

put both your parent on as named drivers and you as main driver. try admiral/elephant they always seem to be they cheapest for younger drivers.
i've just turned 20 (last saurday) and now are getting quotes for my furio for around £700 mark and a vtr for around the £900 mark can't wait till next year tho with 1 yrs no claims i can insure a vts for £750 if going by this years prices are anything to go by.
oh yeh at 19 with no no claims but driving 2 yrs were getting quotes for around £1000 for a furio. b rated postcoed iirc

ive just turned 19 last month and also renewed my insurance last month
i have one year no claims
drive a 2002 vtr (no mods declared)
third party fire and theft
parked in a garage overnight (lol)
windscreen cover
my mother and father are both on my insurance as named drivers as it makes it cheaper.
i pay £989.97
oh and i also have 3 points for speeding (sp30)
bit of a decrease from £211 a month last year.

330 a month....you bein serious? I hated paying £140 a month on the VTR, and that was at 19, then £110 at 20.
And its not a low risk area either, think its a D
