it will go down when you consider a smaller car. Your license is valid up to 3.5T and/or 12 (or is it 15?) passengers

3k on a VTR, which is £250 a month! That's crazy...Actually no it's not, it's stupid.
You're 18 with a VTR (a fairly fast-ish car for what it is) and you're complaining about high insurance! Get a smaller engine car..simples.
Is the VTR worth 3k a year on insurance?
For 3k, i can insure a brand new Focus RS 2.5 Turbo and have about 1.5k change. I'm 21.

For £3k i'd have a pushbike and be going on a few holidays :D
I wouldn't pay more than £1k for pretty much anything on insurance, especially not a VTR. i feel mugged off that i paid £650 for a VTR when i was 18.

I love how people complain when they are still inexperienced and trying to insure a VTR but can't get cheap insurance!
3k is stupid, I could buy and insure a VTS for half that

3k is probably about right as Im also 19 and looked into getting one, cheapest I found was 2400. I decided to wait for a year as when your 20 it will probably be closer a grand.

I wouldn't pay that much for a VTR now, I did when I was 17 but I can insure one for <£1600 (and im still younger than you and have no NCB).

I really wanted to ring up the insurance company that quoted me £9000 for my 1.4 106
27, 4 years NCB
Really wanted to ask them why the thought i would crash my car and write it off 18 times in one year!
