yes you do, always declare mods

yep, always declare mods, otherwise if you was to have an accident that wasnt your fault your insurance wouldnt pay out! and its against the law!
ok right but there`s no space for modifications on there website unlike other sites, and also it says
"No modifications/adaptations to increase top speed, performance or acceleration"
so things like alloys, lights, bucket seats you would be ok but would a backbox and lowering be classed as non-performance

yeah with my current policy with norwich union i`m paying like £300 extra for alloys, exhaust, lowering and inductiuon kit, what a rip-off

It's just any mods that increase power, they didn't even want to know cosmetics.

you have to tell them about your mods
only engine mods make a differance to your premium
Mattvtr
3rd July 2006, 21:26
do they replace the mods?
Geoff
3rd July 2006, 21:30
its only if your doing things with the engine / lowering / turning a car into a van / anything else they let u off most things they really good .

im with them £900 fully comp on a vtr at 19 years old 1 years NCB.
When i spoke to them they said anything cosmetic they dont need to be informed about, examples he gave me where alloys, bodykits. He said engine and suspension mods do need to be declaired so no you dont have to claim anything cosmetic with quinn-direct.

Saxo_Coyle
4th July 2006, 12:54
i was with them on my vtr. and because the car was written off they just gave me the book price. because mods didnt affect the premium i didnt declare them, and ended up losing alot of money. so get them declared!
