Opened my bonnet today and found...

I opened up my bonnet this afternoon, was having a quick check of oil, water etc, when my girlfriend jumped back and shouted "Aarggh!" I said "what the f**k?"

She pointed to the underside of the grill, where the release catch is, and there was a dead starling stuck in the grill!!! Its head was the only thing on the outer side of the grill, most of it had managed to get itself through the 1 inch gap in the grill! Gross!

Took a while to get it out, cos it appeared to have its neck wrapped around a bit of grill, while the body was dangling on the inside!

The smell was awful. Glad I found it today and not in a week's time cos the smell would have come through to the car in time!

Theres an email that does the rounds, where a guy in a sunny county is driving around and he hears a bang and tud form the engine bay.

Stops to take a look and finds a mangled bowa constricta (Spelling?) snake all wrapped up in his engine. When he drove off it tried to make a move to escape and got caught in the fan belt, and did the rounds!

I heard that it wouldent happen because of the aero dynamics of the car its impossible or something?!
