I have just had my rear screen replaced and have noticed that the wires are visible etc going into the heated element , i did not notice the wire's before as the screen was tinted ! im just wondering did the screen fitter position the wires in the wrong place ? as it looks kind of poo seeing the wires through the glass !
cheers

Not really mate that`s why on the inner boot trim there`s like a cut out for the wires.

Yeah basically the wires have spade connectors & they plug onto the connectors each side of the screen. The tailgate not opening is probably glass inside the lock.:y:

cheers steve that makes sense glass was everywhere when they took the old screen out , i went out with a broom to sweep up afterward's ! they even left bits of broken glass on the roof ! :n: no doubt it's falling inside and buggered up the lock ! i hope they come back to sort it out as they caused the fxxk up !
cheers for your help :y:

Just got an email back the company said " its a common problem on saxos the glass gets stuck in the lock and it will not open ! give it a whack where the lock is ! if not take the lock out from the inside " , and " all saxos have visible wires to heated windscreens i never saw it because my screen had a black out tint on it " ! ! im abit pee'd off with this firm now :wall:

Does the demister work? If it does then wheres the problem? Not like you drive looking out the back window!

And theres glass in the lock mine did exactly the same

mate the problem is that it looks ghastly fecking horrid wires sticking out and the metal connectors etc ! looks like a 5 year fitted it ! i do not even think citroen would make such a mistake to have wiring all hanging out ! as i said other saxos / 106 have theres hidden , so the fitter is talking bollox saying all saxo's have wire's sticking out ! , have i tested it yet , no weather has been to good to use it yet , unless theres a way of testing it in hot weather ?
