i know this may be pointless being a 'saxo' forum but i thought i would ask anyway..
im looking to buy a new car in a few months time and i have been looking at the c2 VTS's, looking at them im talking around 5k for a decent lower millage one.
what are these like? powerfull? i know they have 125BHP but im assuming there slower that a saxo S due to wieght?
im looking at either a C2 vts or a MINTER of a VTS/GTI but fancy something more stable as i want to be doing some european driving..
thanks :panic:

I test drove a c2 vts a few years ago. Not sure on the specs but it felt slower than a Saxo VTR :bored:
Depends what you want from the car but I got the impression Citroen were just riding the 'VTS' moniker without actually building an enjoyable car to live up to the badge.

A bit of a dissapointment given the success of the saxo VTS. The C2 didn't fully live up to it. Not a bad little car, but not a great one either.

Against the clock it probably isn't slower than a VTR at all, but what Ads is trying to say (I think) is that because of how much more refined/disconnected it feels compared to a saxo it doesn't feel that quick.
123bhp, 106 ft lb torque, 0-60 mph in 8.3s, 0-100mph in 25.3 seconds, 126mph, so a bit slower than a saxo vts but quicker than a VTR.

but surely again as the saxo, feww £1000 on brakes suspension and engine mods, it would take it into a whole new legue?

why waste the cash?
get a reliable, well set up EK9, or EP3 even, for well less than 6k you look like your planning to spend!

20 y/o - 3 years NCB, only 1300 fully comp on an EP3 for me.
EK's are a tad more expensive though.
