hi all , new to the forum and really sorry to post this , i have searched the forum and think i have found the cause , i have lots of water in the drivers footwell , searching on here people say it could be the sunroof drains blocked BUT looking at pics the sunroof sits in a metal roof pan sealed to the roof with only the two drain pipes off it , if these drains are blocked would it not leak from the roof area on to my head rather than getting into the footwell , is there another roof channel water can get down to the floor ?? how can it get into the footwell if there are only two pipes that go off the roof pan ??? btw i spotted water on the carpet at the drivers kick panel (just to the right of the acc pedal) many thanks , Dave

there was another post a few days ago about water in the same place and they found that the water was running down the drivers A pillar and tricking down into the footwell from the sunroof so its still possible it could be the sunroof, or could be windscreen seal. get someone to run a hosepipe over the car around the seals and see if you can find it :y:

ok i took the rooflining down and checked the drains for the sunroof and they both flow freely and there is no water coming from the bottom sunroof seal when i pour water on the roof as i have looked at the bottom of the roof when the roof lining was down , the water came in in the corner next to where you would put your right foot sat in the drivers seat and when i looked up there was some water on the heater fan box !! when i poured water on the windscreen possible screen leak at the bottom corner ???? or could it leak thru the fan vent gauze under the wiper mech ??? thanks again

If its dripping down from above the accelerator pedal its probably the windscreen seal mate

thanks for all your replies everyone , i think i have cured it !!! i took off the 2 windscreen inner a post trims and looked at the bottom of the screen on the inside and in the corners it was wet thru and right across the bottom of the screen to the other side , i poked the rubber seal about 4 inches up the screen and it was wet on both sides so i sealed riht to the top on both sides , we have had heavy rain for a few days and its been dry !!!
