hey fitting my 266mm setup later on today, wondering what way should the grooves face? i have been told by two people that they are supposed to face forward, just want to check this is right?

just looked at simos photos on the how to change your front pads how to guide and he go forward :P

well in gales thred about his new breaks (after i did a search) he put his the differnt way

so looks to me like it doesnt matter but we will wait and find out!!

grooves should mve in the same direction as radial tyres, i.e. from the hub spray outwards anti clockwise... imagine a catherine wheel..., thats how it should be... same as the above pic... this way heat is distributed out to the edge of the disk from the hub rather than from the edge inwards if that makes sense.... plus mine had an L and an R on the back of my g-force discs...

I had mine fitted which "look" right but I've been told they work better (and pads don't wear down as quickly) if they were fitted the other way round. D'oh! This is how mine look...

thats how they should be my ebc discs came with instructions to put them on the same direction as the blue sax above

It doesn't realy matter too much... but I have two sets of g-forces, one set is slightly smaller diameter... both sets have left and right markings and the smaller ones face how the ones above do and the larger ones face the way simos do?.... gay!

4 or less groove face backwards more than 4 grooves face forwards! that what my guys say! & there answer to teh question "why is that" was coz thas how it is! LOL

you got it right son damo!! change them around i had red dot grooved disks the same way as you & they were shocking

So mine will work better/last longer if they were the other way round?
