I went there in 98ish stayed at Storthes Hall (the old mental hospital site), was a great laught. Didn't get much studying done though, possibly due to living in the room next to the biggest dealer in the Halls, but had a great time!!! Which halls you staying at I'd recommend Storthes Halls but imagine it'd cost a fortune nowadays, nice halls though!!!

whats the nightlife like in huddersfield?
It was a really good night out when I was there, but not sure these days, I can't imagine it changing too much. Plus Leeds is only a short train journey away, IIRC there were late night trains that you could catch back after clubbing etc. There were loads of pubs when I was there but not many clubs. Visage was the main club and Tuesday nights (student night) were very messy!!!

I've just graduated from Huddersfield uni unfortunately lol! Loved my time there tbh! As already said nightlife is pretty good tbh, especially on freshers week! Student nights on wednesday now though?

I loved the student union pub/club in that big old church. I only managed a year there. I'd just discovered holiday repping, I got back from France a complete alcoholic, next day was in court for dangerous driving, then next day start of Freshers week, ended up pissing every penny up the wall and only going to about 10 lectures over the whole year, I was surprised to last that long before being kicked out!!! Made some great friends and had a blinding time though!!!

I was going to go there but I turned them down and went to Coventry considering its the best place in the country for my course.
Huddersfield is quite nice, uni is great but the city is average, and the digs are a fucking camel ride away
