wing mirror

hi i just just bought 2 wing mirrors but i need to take the caps off them and put my old ones on but i cant seem to get the caps off is there a certain way i need to do it?

get a thin bladed screwdriver or knife under and try to release the clips

heat them up with a hairdryer first it will soften the glue

as above push bottom of mirror glass in so you can see in over top of glass then use small screwdriver or similar to push clips in and release mirror cap, i've never known proper vt mirror caps to be glued on unless clips are already broken
