Traverling to Inverness.......

Hi all,

I'm driving to Inverness Scotland from walsall west midlands on Tuesday morning early hours if my maths is right (I got a D at Gcse level) I get there about 2pm ish, stopping in a premier inn at Inverness and working half hour away in Alness only there one night coming home Wednesday.

My question to u guys and gals is what is there to do and what should I see and do in my short time there ??

There is a decent driving range (Fairways) the food there is shit hot.

my grandparents live rite next to the a9 (main road thrue the highlands) got a welsh dragon on the roof. an giv em a toot is pretty self explanatery realy. (button on the end of ur indicator stalk)

Mate Ive driven up to Aberdeen a few times you will love it if you take the right roads. Are you taking the saxo? One tip though when you get to Scotch Corner make sure you take the A68 all the way up to Edinburgh, stunning Northumberland country side all the way into the border and the road is fantastic B road with sweeping corners, long straights and near 90 degree drops lol, one of the best driving roads in Britain.

Would guess he's not taking the saxo as he's mentioned using a tako and certain hours of driving. A68 is good but the A9 is frustrating as passing spaces are limited that's why it's dangerous.

In my prem inn now bois Im in my work van towing 3.5 ton rig and yes I was killing ppl on the a9 lmao they loved me as I had to drop down to 45 mph up some hills, gonna have A beer and some tea now should be able to boom back down tomoz no trailer it's faster coming home it's down hill lol !!

I got stuck in a huge convoy of traffic near avirmore I think it was lots of road works and speed limit has been dropped. Ended up it was because some twat in a micro was going about 20mph even a motorhome overtook it when te road opened up again lol. Good guy in the motorhome also indicated to tell people when it was safe for them to overtake :)
