just a northern thing mate, and trust me there are lots of newcastle bars about lol!

the further north you get the worse it gets, thicker southerner's when on hol(especially manc's and cockneys) seem to think most geordies with a strong accent are scottish

i wouldnt say ive got a massivley strong accent, although you do reliase how much you sound like one if your the only one in a group, but the amount of times on hol ive been asked if im scottish, followed by a massive roar of laughter from ppl who are with the person asking...then followed by "hes a geordie you idiot" or similar is unreal

put someone from boro and a geordie next to each other the diff is clear to us, put us both infront of a londener and 90% wont know the diff
