mot and tax prices is bit stupid these days and especially when mot cost 50 + pound they find anything they can so you end up spending more :(

1500 quid per axle, 800 on tyres, 2400 on 2 Warn winches,400 quid for winch cables, god knows how much on things like roll cages,GPS and all the other bits and bobs needed on a competetive truck, all on top of the purchase price of a 4 year old Defender, thats made me cry lol, then when its built,go out and drive it like a loon. Body damage on every event, on average 2 CV joints each month, then usual shite like prop u/j's, good fun but never again!

my car was bought for £760, ive spent a fair bit on it, but doing all the work and hunting for bargains means it only owes me probs a 1/3 of what it should, so this keeps me happy tbh

ofc i dont mind.
the saxo went 2yr+ ago lol. (still miss it tbh) it was rotting in the boot etc so sold it with 2 weeks mot for £300 iirc. So went looking for another saxo, viewed one, it was a dog. :homme: waited a weeks later (bearing in mind i was on jsa so saving loads a week wasnt gonna happen) i ended up buying a micra. Not my first choice of cars as i rly did hate them tbh but its served me well. :A:
Yes, its not the first choice some people would go for but tbh its cost nothing rly to maintain it etc.
haterz gonna hate. ;)

runabout is a runabout mate, my first car was a mk1 clio 1.2rl, paid £200 for it, most ppl dont appreciate the value of stuff till they have to buy it themselves, there was more oil in the engine bay of that clio then then in the engine :fcuk:, turned out to be just a leaking rocker gasket that had been left and topped up every few days for over 18 months.....so probs about £30+ monthly in oil for a £6 gasket :homme:
Jazz

On my VTS not too much, about £400-£500.
Accord Type R- £2000ish
Impreza STi- £2500-£3000
Civic Type R- £800ish..
S14a- £340 on used performance bits, already bought the car stage 1 modified.
(Thats all mod money, excludes servicing, MOT, tax, insurance etc..)
And because I'm too lazy to break/split any of my cars, I have lost pretty much all my modification money when I've sold up.
Its a stupidly expensive game we're playing this modded lark, but its an incurable disease lol..

Some would say its a waste of money on a car that isnt used much but i figure i work hard for my money and can spend it on whatever i wish.
