Anyone have any plans in their life?
What is your goal, career wise or owning a house somewhere?
How are you going to acheive what you want?
Or do you see yourself as too young to think about long term plans yet, or just dont have any?

Currently saving for a deposit whilst im renting.
Plans are to buy a cheap house and do it up how i like over time. As long as it's liveable in then it'll do.
Marry at 30ish (at the earliest lol) then kids blah blah blah
Retire early although this is very very unlikely to happen.
Death. Lmao. Sorted. :y:
Im 19 atm and i know it makes me sad to even have a plan
EDIT: Once the house is ready a mint car but the possibilities are endless so i've as yet to even think about that.

20 with 3 years of BTEC ICT qualifications and then decided to do uni which lasted 6 months. So my plans are to find a ICT Apprenticeship ASAP so i can stop working 40-60 hours at a newsagents. Once i've got this Apprenticeship sorted i wouldn't mind my own place and a nicer daily drive.

I do see myself as too young to think about long term plans just yet but ideally I would like to move out in the next 2 years :) Be it a house and a mortgage or renting a flat
My goal career wise was to get a job with somewhere like BMW or Jaguar etc
I had an interview 3 weeks ago and got myself a job with Jaguar Land Rover :y:
To achieve being able to move out i'm planning on working my ass off at JLR :p

it hasn't really changed anything for me! i feel like i have more of a purpose now. this little guy relies on me 100% and i shape his life. we still go out all the time, just take him with us :) buy everything we want. the only thing he stops me from doing is clubbing and getting pissed which i never did anyway :D you still rent and want a mortgage so youve still got a major responsibilty lol

I'm 22 and have 6 years experience in Architecture in commercial/industrial and especially food sectors with decent knowledge in domestic but we don't do much of that....
Been doing day release apprentiship since 16 - 22 (23 by the time i finish) which has been good for hands on experience as well as the degrees...
I am fully qualified next year as an Architectural Technologist!!
My plan currently it to move over to America (Miami), and rent a nice apartment with a friend who travels quite a lot..
She has done nothing but travel to places like Australia/Thailand/India & America for a few months at a time since she was 18-21 so she is a good person to go with as she will find a job to contribute to renting a place and definately up for the experience...
Plan is to get a working VISA and find a stable Architect job and ride it out and see what happens...Whilst I have no mortgage..
I will be selling my car to pay for flights and have some money in the bank for accomodation...
Thats my short term plan, I am also saving money at the moment to help set up my own 1 man business which will be small jobs for domestic purposes or extensions to industrial units which are feasable for one man to do...
Build that up and see where it leads, not looking to set that up till late 20's though when I am a lot more stable...

Im overly ambitous lol and youll think im a dreaming cunt
We can dream though, and if I work towards what I dream to be then even at a quarter of that il be happy with my life :)
Basically, I dont want to be tied down with a career.
At the moment im just getting my car sorted and to a tidy strong spec.
After that im saving to do a few courses, 360 excavtor oprator and other plant machinary, aswell as painting and decorating. I ee them as being good trades and skills to have with how our country is and there is quite a few opportunitys for them locally to me and offer an ok, not amazin wage of about £600 a week.
Once im into one of them jobs then il be saving and saving for a good few months. I live at home so not a great deal of outgoings. Taking advantage of that, setting up a few businesses with friends. Abit like an investor, and they dont need great capital to start. so invest money in starting a company up, let them work the business and I collect a cut in the profits aswell as working my daily job. theyre sorted for a job and Il be getting extra money.
Then save up, get a property abraud rent it out or holiday rent it out. Repeat the process with another property. Got my grandads proerpty in england for security.
thats as far as my plans got lol time to take my head out the clouds.

Fair enough. I tend to get drunk at home more than i go clubbing. But i would like to have my first kid with the 'one'. I know its rare now but as it's a plan may as well aim to do it proper.
If i decide ive made a mistake with renting i can go home. Shame Tesco don't sell babies so when they too old you can take them back! :P

Funny enough. Property investment was my dream to!
But i was trying to be realistic with my first post. However the dream would be as you said to earn a good wage through a decent property portfolio.(No boss, gettin up, late wages etc etc) O the joys of not working that is a dream!!!!
Hopefully my grandad will leave me enough money to set it up. Failing that its plan number one. Haha now i'll look as mad as you :y:

Stick to it, its possible!
Im currently saving for the two courses. So once I have them under my belt I can easily do the investment of starting up the two smaller businesses (it possible now but id rather enjoy the money on the car).
Id be happy at that stage to be fair! But with the security of the property in England il risk some saved money into property or another investment with great return. Once that starts and proves itself then il just repeat it!
Quite realistic for both of us id say! But for the time being its a dream untill it happens :p

Continue to get fucked and fucked up for at least another 10 years.
I trained in the Equine Sector, I'm now a nutritionist basically, and I started my exams to be a qualified teacher. I sacked them in though when i realised that my experience means more to people up here than £3k worth of bits of ruddy paper.
I now work 9-5 Mond - Fri, 3 nights a week in a club, and teach horseriding 2 - 3 hours a week. I enjoy teaching as a hobby, couldnt make it my full time job. shame because the money is AMAZING. up to £40 quid an hour for the level I teach.
I now also take on horses to train and compete - so next year I hope to buy a young horse or a weanling to bring on and sell, or keep for myself.
For the time being though, taking a year out, to work work work, get a new car, find my own place, and spend time with my other half, go on some holidays.
My life plan? find a way to make as much money as possible, even if i keep working 3 jobs. I'm a total workoholic!
Maybe get married before I'm 30 - dont want to look old and haggered in my wedding pics. As for kids.... Nah. This sounds really selfish but I am NOT ending up with a big gaping vagina and a stomach that looks like an elephants arse.... all wrinkly and saggy and stretched. If my husband (if there is ever one) wanted kids, we would adopt, or he could go shoot his load in someone else.
My life is for living, and I'll be bloody selfish if I want to be selfish

Property investment is definitely something I will get into, but to get the first house to sell on is the hardest part... inheritance is the easiest way unfortunately...
I have the background to do it so when the time is right I will, however it will be of a side venture alongside general architecture (which will provide with steady income)
Personally property development will be something I do when I want to get filthy rich and have the financial stability to do so..
A lot of people can ruin their lives thinking it is an easy ride...
And ploughing all their money into something which can't be finished due to lack of funds and can't be shifted....

I'm 24 in November, so I'm getting on a bit.
More and more of my friends are having kids, getting married and other tragic shit like that, it's a bit disappointing.
I want to continue sleeping around, messing about with friends while being financially ok. (a few quid more pm wouldn't go a miss).
I try not to plan, if you have plans and for some reason you do not achieve them you end up disappointed in yourself and in the world today, things happen that are usually out of your control.
I just live life one pay packet at a time, squeezing in as much travelling as I can.

Always liked the idea of being a traffic cop. But seeing devastating accidents would seriously effect the car I have, and I want quick cars until petrol runs out and we have to use some other gay fuel which will probably effect performance.
I'm 20 and I will be a millionaire one day. Either if i have to sell copied DVDs on the car boot, to running my own I.t business. I'll make it!!!

I have no overheads, lads on the cards so basically they work when needed then go do other things when not.

there are a few things id like to achieve, which may seem silly to, well nearly everyone but it would give me something to talk about and laugh over lol. like ;

Buy a house. Do it up & sell it on, make a tidy profit.
Do this process to a few houses till you have some money in your back pocket then buy a 'Investing property' that you can rent out. As far as i'm aware, i have no in herritance. My girlfriends Nan is quiet very well off though so that will be a bonus. :y:
After a few more years of saving, get another property.
I'd like to have my own business. Ideally sitting on my arse selling stuff online. or getting carpenters to work for me.

I'm looking to buy a £100K house as my first house. Do it up, sell it on for maybe £125K.. Either use the difference to pay the mortgage off or use it to decorate the next house or use it to add to the savings and buy another house...

IMHO, i think its best that you put down a 20% deposit for a mortgage (me and the g/f would split it, 10% each)
That way, you have already paid off 20% of the house's value (1/5 of the value). The mortgages would be less money too.
I'm only 20, 21 in November but i want to be left home by 23/ 24. I guess by that time the housing market would be sky high again and we'd e out of the rescission. It would be all hunky dory for the next 10 years until you hit another rescission. Thats when i would take big advantages on savings to put towards houses and snap them up.
Being a carpenter. Doing all the referb work would be a doddle. I have experience in painting and decorating too and a little basic plumbing. I'd feel confident to wire in a few new plug sockets and lights too. So that will cut costs.

but as long as i eventually get a career in something im happy with, or an office job that pays well and lets me wear a suit ill be sorted. ;)
although i do plan to own a Jenson Interceptor and a Nissan GTR. even if it means stacking shelves for many many years.
This site gets more & more like 4chan by the day!
