Urgen help needed on saxo starting problem!

so ive just changed the clutch on my '98 saxo 1.1, but on reinstal and putting evetryhting back together, when i go to start the car the ECU makes a constant clicking noise and the immobiliser keypad shows the red and green light together withough me being able to put the code in. The engine wont turn over or start atal. Any suggestion or hints as to what to check to try and solve this problem? amny thanks, justin

Somehow I think you`ve locked your ECU.

check all the earths first

i only had the battery off and disconnected some earths and connectors to sensors for ease of gearbox removal. i shall check the earths and sensors tommorow and let you know, how would it be possible to lock an ECU? ive not done anything to damage it or touch it, not even put in the wrong immobiliser code as it wouldnt let me, only disconnected the battery temporarily for a day or so and reconnected it. cheers for the advice anyway chaps! points me in some direction atleast :)

ive read that i may need to reset the ecu as ive diconnected certain sensors and unplugged the battery. how would i reset the ecu?
