I make other stuff like a bit of dubstep..... started out on garage which has gone flat now, its all about these pulsating basses and airy synths so i thought id give it a bash !

Will have a listen when I'm back on the mac.
At least you are varying the productions, no one wants to book people these days who can't produce.

Listened on the pad, it's a bit hit and miss for me. Parts work others don't, seems to be an unsure style of uplifting melodic stuff with something deeper, the build takes too long and I'm not the biggest fan of the actual sample sounds used. Ending also goes a bit dull and I want the track to end because of this.
Not a bad start though, not trying to rip it to shreds but give constructive reply other than, yeah that's awesome/shit...

yeh thats fine mate thanks..... its still got a few bits to go and there might be a vocal on it yet so we'll see how it goes :) Plus bear in mind its a trimmed version of original full length (Saves peope ripping the track)
As for the length as a producer you have to think of the DJs.... radio edits are what get to peoples ears a lot.... When you actually hear an original track its usually a lot longer for the DJs to mix.

I work in the industry and so know about that, still it's a 2min production on there which is why I commented that it made me want to stop it, most promos I get and like I'll still listen intro to end. You have a long build then a small drop, then it just gets very repetitive.
I'd shorten the main build and either have 2 in the track or find a way of making it more involving. This sort of sound that's more dirty is what Micky slim was hammering/Hannah holland too.
Funkagenda is a very good sound engineer so also worth checking some of his productioins.

Yeah im always looking at other peoples styles...
Ill take the advice mate. Appreciate it.
As i say the full length does involve you a bit more.... thats only like a two min snippet but i dont like putting fulls on until i properly release the track :)
Advice most definately appreciated though man.

For commercial stuff laidback Luke and afrojack are really strong ATM, espec as they combine a mix of styles and are not just say a tech house artist.
