View Full Version : 11 Points on my Licence...
smiith
25th August 2011, 23:11
Well as some of the old folks may know, i have 11 points.. One Friday night i got in a race with a shitty Vectra... Turned out it was undercover 5-0 trying to get people to do exactly that... They didnt have any speed monitoring equipment in the car, so naturally, being massive cunts, did me for Driving with Undue Care and Attention... Went to court, 2 police mans word against me and 2 of my friends in the car.. Obviously the outcome.. 5 points, 275 quid fine...
A week and a day later, i buy my new Saxo... A week, a day, and 14 hours later, my saxo jumps a ditch, a fence, rolls through a field, and stops resting against a tree.. Same police man rolls up, Off to court for Driving with Undue car and attention... 6 points, 350 quid fine.. Lavlyyy...
Well as of 12 minutes ago, i now have 0 points..
Just thought i would let you all know ;) anyone up for a speed camera race? :boxing:
I enjoy driving like a cunt, so fuck off judgmental cunts, because i dont want to hear your cuntish attitude about how you think im a cunt, because you are also cunts. cunt cunt cunt

Didnt think the police would be allowed to bait people. What do they do then to bait people? rev at lights? stare you out? openly ask you?
smiith
25th August 2011, 23:27
drive real close behind you and try to push you up, obviously seeing a lowered car, with alloys and whatnot, they will expect it wont take much pushing for them to drop it a cog and give it a little go..
Furio-Gazza
25th August 2011, 23:30
There's a bait car what the police use near me its a Silver Mitzi Colt with a turbo & a huge front mount on it,
looks like its had loads off work done to it, maybe its a car the police has took off someone for what ever reason i dunno but it does look rather spesh.
they got my friend in his VTS, all my friend said was they got up his arse when going around town slow then my friend thought he was a boy racer, so he dropped it down and went for it, next min at the lights apaz this colt came down the side off him and asked him to pull over,
he got 3 points & a £60 fine for driving like a tard
Vtr_Cam
25th August 2011, 23:33
Ah right, I find most police tailgate anyway. I got pulled before and he said why you doing 37 in a 30 (when i wasnt). So i was being polite but it was only a focus and he didnt have speed equipment anyway so just left me go.
But i do think they tailgate just to get a speedo check, which is obviously wrong anyway. It really annoys me, it just blinds you and puts you off if anything.

Its definately not fair but im pretty sure theyve been baiting boy racers for a fairly long time now...the worst thing is they use a range of cars so it isnt just a vauxhall anymore..

No he wouldn't, if someone hits you from behind its there fault!
the driver behind should give him self enough stopping/braking distance, if they hit the car infront there not looking or there tail gating what's wrong

They needed to leave more distance. Not your problem.
I find it hard to believe the police would follow you in a 'bait car' close enough to not expect you to do something like that. Afterall that's exactly what they're looking for! Something like that.

First week i got my Saxo i took it for a drive on a quiet road..sticking to the speed limit..all of a sudden a set of lights RIGHT up my arse..sped up a little (if you see someone tailing you at 3am..you dont hang around) and they kept up my arse..kept going until i hit 75 in a 50 and then the blues came on...my heart sunk, i'd never been pulled over before which luckily showed up on my license check so he let me off wit ha work of caution...then asked where the nearest McDonald's is as i had my work uniform on :homme:

So has four years lapsed since the points were issued man?
It's been three years since I was done for having a sandwich whilst driving - one more year and I think the points are removed from my license? Not sure if that's right.
What about insurers though? Don't you have to declare the points for a 5 year time frame from the point of issue?
Can anyone clarify?
danny-vts
26th August 2011, 01:11
points are valid for 3 years but stay on your licence for 4 years, after the 4 year period you can pay to get them removed.
as for insurance, yes most if not all insurers ask have you any points in the last 5 years.
Barry123
26th August 2011, 01:37
yeah, just discovered insurers will contact DVLA with regard to point issue dates regardless of whether they are on your license or not. Damn, got another 2 years then.

Agreed, its is the sole responsibilty of the driver behind you to keep a safe distance in relation to the speed being driven. they CANNOT see what the person in front braked for, it could have been a child running across the road etc.

The police in Bedford do this. Under cover.
1) My boss was driving through Bromham. A police car was doing 15mph though the village. He turned off down the last road in the village. When he got out of the village he floored it to find there was a speed gun trap around the corner. He argued the case with the polie.
2) One time a black vectra was up my arse down the A421 around 11pm. It had Xenon headlights and that's what caught my attention. I got off at the ASDA roundabout for him to be revving his engine. The fact he has 3 wing mirrors and 2 rear view mirrors in his car gave it away. He well spun (Expecting me to follow) but i casually pulled away.

number 1 happened to a mate of mine who lives in kempston as he drove through bromham the other week. they eventually pulled him and said just don't pull away so quick etc.
Happened to me ages ago when i had the saxo, maybe at fcs a couple of years back? Anyway, i cut through the milton ernest way back through thurleigh to my house and got followed.
like a true pro i stuck at 60 through all the twisty roads so technically never broke the speed limit ;)
either that or the 5-0 saw my B8's and lower strut brace and didnt think it was worth the chase.

I do a combination of the above. I had the fuzz right up my ass two days ago. One marked and one audi, they weren't the subtle kind; audi up my ass and the skoda up his ass doing esses in a straight line right behind the audi. Plus the Audi never used their indicators, bunch of muppets. Then after 7 miles the skoda left, the audi got right up my ass while entering town. Instant brake treatment(the seatbelt in your lungs kind) right down to 30 mph.
I confirm, they try to lure you into it but are easy to spot. They hate the 55 mph in a 60 game, 50 makes them nuts.

If anyone, police or not is tailgating me I'll either slow down to let them past or put my hand out telling them to back off.
9 x out of 10 they'll realise I'm unhappy with their driving and back off.
One time though a police car was following dangerously close and wouldn't back off. (It was a 3 lane ring road at 3am). I put my hand out and signalled him to pull over, and funnily enough he did.
I asked why he was following so closely behind me and he couldn't give me an answer. (Think he said he was trying to read my plate which had been cleaned earlier that day).
I asked politely for him to back off and he agreed.
Boring story but it shows that racing them / slamming brakes on to cause an accident is completely uneccessary. Sometimes a hand gesture or chat can do the job.

you wouldn't get good enough grades all through school and enough to get you into UNI without knowing that you were dyslexic.
You would have needed help at school, probably from as early as 5/6 when the main symptoms start showing.
or if you were unlucky and got late help, maybe up to 10

Got to disagree with you on that one. It can't always be picked up straight away, especially if you go to a school where they haven't dealt with people with it before.

not everyones brain works the same its a learning diability, you may find spelling and reconising words easy but there might b something you find dificult that i may find easy.
there have been many famous dyslexic geenoius's before. (and yes as your aware ive probally spelt that wrong as i tend to spell it how it sounds. to me genious or however its spelt looks wrong but sounds right?) its hard to explain but im not sure why i should have to

I find pooing hard after a hefty steak dinner. I'm sure others are with me on that one though.
Genius - its spelt how it sounds. If i pronounced it the way you spelt it, it'd be Jee Noi Uss which doesn't sound right does it?
I understand people have difficulty spelling, but I don't blame Dyslexia. I think it's far too easy for people to blame Dyslexia. It's just poor teaching, or you were too busy being naughty and disruptive to learn.
I bet there's far less "Dyslexics" at private schools than there is public.

Surely being a dick in school and dyslexia are two different things, not judging by the way

Maybe so in some cases however just think that people actually DO have it. You can't just go around saying to everyone they don't have it...
Being naughty and disruptive isn't a common thing linked with Dyslexia. That's ADD or ADHD...

Yes, some people use it as an excuse but they're the ones who think ADD/ADHD is just a case of being a cock. There's a lot more to it that so many people don't understand as they have it in their minds it's just used as an excuse.
Also Dyslexia a lot more than not being able to spell.

Dyslexia -
A general term for disorders that involve difficulty in learning to read or interpret words, letters, and other symbols, but that do not affect general intelligence
and
Dyslexic people usually find it difficult to analyse and work with the sounds of spoken words, and many have difficulties with short-term memory, sequencing and organisation. Dyslexia often causes problems in maths: many dyslexic people have difficulties with arithmetic and with learning and recalling number facts.
The degree to which dyslexia causes problems, in learning and in everyday life, depends on many factors. These include the severity of the dyslexia, the other strengths and abilities that a person has, and the kind of teaching and support they may have been given.

Danni - I discovered that if I sit on the passenger seat, put my right foot onto the clutch and release it slowly I could drive around a car park from the passenger seat and become a local hero.
What I didn't work out, is that to brake I'd need to come off the clutch and onto the brake pedal or dip the clutch and use the handbrake. My right leg was directly over the handbrake due to being on the clutch and if I just used the footbrake I would stall miserably.
So instead I panicked and drove through a fence and into a pub's beer garden. It looked bizzare to the drunks when I got out of the passenger seat and drove off.

points are valid for 3 years but stay on your licence for 4 years, after the 4 year period you can pay to get them removed.
as for insurance, yes most if not all insurers ask have you any points in the last 5 years.

Lavlyyy...

I agree.
It's the same with Aspergers/Autism. Yes I accept it's a real condition. Of course it is. But they are SO quick to slap a tag on childrens abnormal behavior and give it a name and a class it's unreal.
You're totally right, I don't for one second believe there are as many cases of aspergers as they claim. The standard of parenting is simply shocking, some of them have no idea. This is some Jeremey Kyle generation shit. It makes me sick. If your child is a little cunt it's because you are incompetent and have failed to raise and discipline them correctly.

i used to think that, but apparently they can
although if it happend to me id still take it to court and fight it on this basis..
i dont actually think they ever actually do you for racing though..they find something else EG speeding or careless driving etc
but i know ppl have gotten away with it by fighting that they were scared and felt bullied into going faster by the car behind pressing them on, and that they were paying more attention to how close tha car following was getting to them which lead them to drive irratically etc
there's alway a loop hole if your pedantic like me and willing to look for it ;)
