Hey again, 2 more questions...

Doing a full service and renewing brakes and fluids etc this week, but am unsure on gearbox oil grades...

It's a 1999 v plate gti...

Also, my rear axle was changed before I bought the car, but looks like the one now fitted is non abs.

If I get the lOom and sensors, can these just be fitted or is there more to it than that? Basically I've found the abs light covered up so have uncovered it and would quite like to resolve!

Cheers

If the capability is there in the ECU for this, which is standard on the 106 gti, then your loom should already be there for it, so its just a case of plugging it in? I've got some sensors on my rear beam that I can take off if you need them too as I dont run abs

I've got the same problem as this If I plug the sensors in where will I locate them on the hub?

Gearbox takes 2 litres of 75W80. I only use the standard stuff - Total BV 75W80. Fairly cheap to buy from here (http://www.nielsencdg.co.uk/acatalog/Total_Transmission_BV_75W80_Gear_Box_Oil.html).
