General racket when driving :)

Recently bought a 2000 VTR. Love the car its great fun and got it for a bargain price. Anyways when i take up drive there is a slight knock from what sounds like the engine bay.
Is there any known issues with engine mounts etc??

Also when driving over pot holes and similar things theres a knock from the front , again anything common on these that i should be checking or is it just the normal stuff (drop links and bottom arms)?

most probably the knocking noises are the normal things like drop links, bottom arms etc.

try checking the nuts on the engine mounts? i had a rattly engine on my old vtr, only to find there was one nut holding it on one of the mounts!

Have a look at engine mount under the ecu.
