i would reccomend this site to anyone who has been quoted a unrestricted time quote of 6k+

my lowest quote i could find at 19, 2 years no claims on an unrestricted time zone was £5500.

with this site its £3k...im still looking but its by far my best.

i live in the worst rated post code area and i have a vtr...which apperently is now group 13...last time i checked was group 7.

the idea is you cannot drive from 11pm-5am...and get charged a bit extra in peak times...PLEASE READ THE DETAILS.

hope this helps and i know a lot of people won't agree with this...purely designed for people having problems like me.

As far as I know, insurance groups were changed to a 1-50 rating system not long ago and that explains the rise from 7-13. Technically it has gone down I suppose.

Hope you enjoyed Robs random and worthless knowledge of the day

Do a search on here, this has been covered many times before.

You can't drive from 11pm to 5am....at some point you are going to need/want to drive during those times.

Charged extra during peak times......you mean when people use their cars to go to work?

Sounds like a load of shit to me

how much would it cost you to use taxi's for a year? I'm guessing less than £4-5k you will end up spending on your car (all inclusive)
If its less then you dont have a good deal. If I add the cost of going to and from work for example it would cost me just over £2k a year on taxi's

pointless you loose the freedom of your car

big brother all over again.

if the car is too expensive then get a smaller engined car.

Get a 1.0 / 1.1 Saxo or Corsa.

p.s And the box in your car thing is wank.

you'll regret the box in the car. one of the best things about having a car is that you have freedom. with that, its like your 10 years old and have been grounded again by your parents

What an absolute joke. What happens if there's an emergancy, and you have to use the car?

Yeah, do not get a box fitted!

and its all about the no claims lad, ive just turned 20 with 2 years NCB and my vts is £1400 fully comp. Which i know is still expensive, but in todays "market", seems pretty cheap to me!

I've found elephant to be the cheapest on car insurance quotes for me.

I'm 19, 1 years no claims, own policy, and I pay around a third of that price. That's with my Furio and living in a high risk postcode.

:clapping: haha how have you managed that one? high excess? low milage? We are talking fully comp right?

and someone did write off my old car, which once declared brings my insurance up... even though it wasnt my fault! :wall:

It's like the co-op, I don't get how you're like 6k+ with 2 years NCB?

I've had my licence for 2 years and got my first car in august, I'm 20 with no NCB etc.

VTR as first car, £1,780 TPF+T. Not so bad, that includes something that's £30 a year. In 2 weeks I'm 21 and the compulsory excess drops to 0, but my voluntary one is £250. That's with Elephant.co.uk

i dont see why all you young drivers are just going on what you see online, pick up the phone, phone these companys and haggle with them! they will soon lower the premium. Play them off with one another, keep saying well... not to sure... so and so will do it cheaper. If it doesnt work, just move on to another company.
