saw this today on my mk2 VTS, no idea what it is, but its seems to have snapped off whatever its supposed to be connected to, it goes past timing belt cover then over under the ecu then into the wing,

is it important?

If its the same as a VTR it looks like the pipe which attaches to the inlet mani on like a T-piece with the oil breather from the rocker cover, I tihnk it joins the carbon cannister in the wing? I dunno about yours but mine idles funny with it unplugged iirc?

mine seems to idle fine, so it doesnt seem to be effecting engine in anyway, (that i can tell). cant be that important i suppose

Yerh that's a breather off the inlet mani that goes to the carbon canister in the arch.
You haz a hole in your inlet now I'd imagine.

yeh....means to much air will be getting thrown into your engine...loosing power and over fueling to copensate :D

i best have a look then, could i just bung the hole up if there is one? im guessing that because the plastic bracket bit has snapped, the other half will be in the hole still, but ill have a look
