Same thing happens to France as England, superstar player sent off, lose on penalties. Enough people said blah blah the English are cry babies for blaming Ronaldo but every French person that watches football must hate Materazzi now! It was exactly the same scenario (winding players up) i think its disgusting. Despite this i still think players that get paid that much money deserve to get sent off for misconduct no matter who they are or what their status.
I mean would be happy to get paid that much to headbutt other players!

That card was deserved, every inch of the way. I kinda wanted to see Zidane see his career out on a high, bit sad that such a great player of the generation will be remmebered for that.

I wanted Italy to win as thru the world cup they have played well, France havent, they just scraped thru. But I would of liked to see Zidane lift the cup also, but after that im glad Italy won.

I just dont understand that fella, hes one of the world most gifted players ever, and he does that, he also got sent off in the 98 final, hes ruined it for himself and the team in a way. In his last ever match as well, just doesnt make sense, no matter what Matterazi said, he will be something hes heard before so why bite?

The match wasnt the best but I wanted France to win mainly for Zidane. I just couldnt believe what he did. Someone of his quality shouldnt be seen doing that and especially on the biggest footballing stage in the world. Shame to see him end a great career that way.

WOW what a day i had theres was bout 20 of both mine and my girlfriends family all watching the game, and what a scary game it was, we were SHIT from the second half and we honestly diddent deserve to win it.

When Grosso put that penalty in we had huge fireworks going up, then ended up in the town centre, where there was about 1000 iti's :) Then decided to DRIVE to trafalger square, where we partyed until 4am with 35000 fans :)

I think France should have won it. Definitely played better than the Italian's. It's a shame the World Cup final had to be decided on penalties. Shame on Zidane for letting him, his team and his country down. "Out with a bang" they say.
