id say yes as the rear is higher than the fronts as standard anyway so ur keeping the proportions correct!

Im going down 50mm on 16's with 45 profiles and 40mm on fronts it looks sweettt

Going down 40mm on 16's with 40 profile tyres should be fine. You may have a few problems on full lock but nothing worth worrying yourself about. To be honest, 5mm will not be noticeable. Just have the front lowered 40mm and the rear to suit. If you were worried about it rubbing, etc... then buy some uprated shocks/dampers.

Btw, who's lowering it for you and how much are they charging?

I thought you were going to come to the Herts meet yesterday mate.

Ahhh Carworx. Cool. I've been there to have my exhaust system fitted.

I know somewhere that will do it £50 cheaper. Hehe!

A place near me mate in Hartley Wintney, Hants. A few Sax-p'ers have been down there. But as you're booked in at Carworx and they're just around the corner from you, you might as well take it there.

Damo - does the place in Hartley Wintney do it for £125 including springs? i thought you had to buy your own springs? if it is including springs it really is a great price!

:)

Nah!!! That's just the price of labour. Springs/suspension kits are on top (like they are everywhere).

I smell comission...

Cha-ching, lol...

Only joking mate, I would definetly reccommend Graeme, even though for me his time keeping isn't great...

Same here, his prices are really good...

Ideally he needs some one else working there that is fully qualified because the work he does is really good but he can only do so much if you get me...

The problem with Graeme is he can never say NO. He takes on too much work but that does not mean he doesn't get it done.

Manic motors does it for £125. Thats the springs and fitting them. Thats where mine was done. I got rubbing on the rear arches when i put vtr alloys on. Only went down 45mm at the back. Oh well, was easily resolved!

Getting my rear torsion bar done for £117.50, unless I can find somewhere cheaper!

£117.50 is a good price. Hmmm, let me think. £100 + VAT? Hehe!!!

You'd expect to pay between £100 and £150 to have a car lowered. Some people have been conned and have paid around £250 to have it done. Hmmm. It's so worth it to shop around.

;) lol indeed - £100 + VAT but that is just doing the torsion bar! Can do the rest myself :star:

Oh right. The bloke near me does front and rear for £120. I'd rather leave it to them then bothering doing it myself. After all, it's not that much more on top of what you're going to be paying anyway.
