When you say gash you mean a hole? if its like a cut through the metal you would have to bend it back and fill it...

Quite simply.... you can blame your self here! Serves you right.
Don't you have any common sense. A wood saw is for.... errr. Wood? :geek:
You need a hack saw. Thats for cutting mental and the teeth are alot smaller and finer.

I think i do know what a 'wood saw' is and a 'tennon saw'.. I'm a carpenter and Joiner by trade!
Best thing you can do, is upload some pics. (So i can LOL) but so others can see the damage. Might be a simple need of halfords touch up pen or a re-spray ??
Willvtr
10th September 2011, 19:17
knew i should of kept the tool quiet, i had a blonde moment lmaoo, but in all seriousness it was at about 7pm and nowheres opens and its all i had, i should of waited but was to eager, anyways onto the scratch id says it just the paintwork thats come off tbh.. so a touch up pen could do the job, but a mate of mine used one on his feista and it didnt really come out to well...

ok... well tbh, short of sanding, pissobly filling, and a professional respray of the boot... thats not going to go back to looking standard no matter what you do (if you try something and it works, tell me, i have a few 'orrible lil scratches myself) you've basically turned a job that can cost beteen £0-5 into a job that may cost you £30 and upwards (Y)

well chip-sticks, touch up pens and spray paint has never matched anything ive ever seen it done on... even if its an exact colour match, there's no clear coat, and different laquers, or amounts of laquer always seam to fade, go matte, or stand out from the rest in some other way, especially if its slap bang in the middle... even if it looks right straight off the block, it ages differently. atleast thats been my experience (Y)
*i just realised that it sounds like a full respray wont look original, i meant anything short of a full respray will look out of place.

Just get a new boot lid, probably be cheaper than filing/spraying etc.
