Hi guys,

Im new to the site and have recently bought a vts mk1 on a 96plate.

schoolboy error but after i bought it i noticed the needle was missing from the temp gauge so can't tell what the temp is at the mo. Also the oil temp goes up quite high after a spirited drive or just a longer than normal drive, id say about 3 quaters of the way up, although my first mk1 vts did exactly the same with the oil temp or am i getting confused with oil pressure? and i haven't heard the fans kick in yet even though the car seems to get quite hot quite quickly but can't even tell if the fans are supposed to kick in cus i can't read the temp uuurrrgghhh! it looks as tho one of the previous owners has had a fiddle with the clocks or that area because the speedo is out about 5mph bottom end and about 10mph top end.

Any advice?

Have you tried bleeding the system?

Most speedo's run about 5mph faster than your real speed, not just on saxo's.

You need your temp gauge working though!

Yeah get that temp sensor working, mine over fuelled slightly on my last mk 1 vts while it was not working.
