I bought some leather from my local fabric store as i was going to put leather on my door cards.

I bought some evo stik the spray can stuff and set to work but..... it didn't work :( Its thin leather but would not stick.

Has anyone used leather on their door cards, If so could you tell me what you used to stick it as this evo stik spray can it shite :n: :wall:

Thanks :P

there is no reason it shouldnt work, spray the door cards and leather with a good layer of glue then leave for about 5 minutes for the glue to go tacky, then put the leather onto the door using a hair drier or heat gun to help warm up the leather and stretch it to the contours of the doors

Really I never know that ? Anything will burn if kept on to long . Don't use Evo stick on leather it's crap and will come off in time I'll find a link for the glue to use . Use the heat gun a little don't go mad

i dont mean heat it up stupidly but honestly get a scrap of leather and try stretching it, its very stiff, then warm it up with a hair drier or something and it is much easier to work with :)

trust me im a doctor :P

glad i came across this as im leathering my door cards hopefully tonight (using leather off an old headboard :) ) but was worrying about there being a fold line or crease. so if i used a hair dryer to heat it up a lil it will stretch to shape over the arm rest bit in the door? iv got some spray glue as-well. hope it works

so basically your door cards are leather wrapped on both sides and stitched together so its tight?

Dont think he means that no, think he stiched them togther along the edge of the arm rest. So the leather doesnt have to stretch in as many directions. Not looked at his doorcard pics in awhile but from what i've seen from professional installs etc that how they do it.
