I've just replaced the thermostat housing on my car, I've bled the system and the engine heats up. The hose that leads to the heater matrix is stone cold even after bleeding it for 20 mins, its the only hose that's cold even though the metal pipe that the hose slides over is also hot. Anyone know what could be causing this?

Im guessing it would have to be hot.

If the car drives fine without over heating and the heater inside the car works i cant see your problem.

Make sure you have bled it properly, with antifreeze and used all of the bleed nipples.

Theres one on the rad, one on the thermostat housing and another at the back left on top looks like a tyre dust cap check this one which you may have missed.

Try to use a header tank to get all the air out, run the engine a few times to bring it up to temperature. It does take some time on the saxo to get right, your always find air locks.

You have not bleed it properly you still have a air-block.

The only other thing is a block in the cooling system somewhere.
