Predator v10 is an impressive vehicle. The sound of an f1 engine whaling into the distance in the scottish hills is a very perculiar thing indeed

Dave what's GW's new car? What's he competing in? Just Scottish events?
My mate owns force racing cars, Graeme probably knows him..
Cars looking good. What tear suspension setup do you use now dave?
Dave_P
23rd September 2011, 05:25
GW isn't driving a car just now but his latest built car is called a Raptor, driven by Lee Adams. Lee is doing the British hillclimb c'ship and has won a few run offs this season which is quite impressive considering the car uses a bike engine.
My rear end: preflex 3 way dampers, 25mm t bars/arb & poly race bushes.

Good stuff dave, will have to look out for him

Loton park hillclimb this weekend. ;)
I think it was a Force that won the Scottish hillclimb c'ship this year. :)

Yer Ian has build some very fast cars and his drivers are v good.

now that looks proper!!
but you could save a bit of weight if it didn`t have to kink around the std tank...
Dave_P
23rd September 2011, 20:12
I did have to kink around the std tank though. ;)
The 5 litre tank i used to have under the bonnet is a bit small for circuit use.

23rd September 2011, 20:19
ahhhh i see... i did wonder what happened to the "mini" tank under the bonnet..
i`m assuming the back box is the only silencer???
how come GWR (or you) decided to go for that arrangement as i know the MAXi`s only had a small box under the tunnel and then straight tube all the way out to the back:
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v11/slammed106/mon%20dieu%20%20MAXIs/prepa106_22.jpg
its not a dig... just a curiosity...
Dave_P

Because unlike the French tarmac rally car i have to pass a 105db noise test... ;)

23rd September 2011, 22:08
Awesome bit of kit mate

24th September 2011, 07:32
ahhh purely noise based... just wondered if the location of the box made any diference to power...
cetainly looks the part.. must be good to ditch the wobbly pug rubber hangers too..

The exhaust is a weight saving measure 1st & foremost. Power wise I found in fast road set up they pick up a bit better in the midrange with a box around the cat area but midrange power isn't what my engine is built for.
