Serious question... Has your engine fallen out?
A friend had this and his engine mount on the driver's side had gone and the engine dropped!

Just went outside to check and the engine seems to be in place.

maybe a build up of pressure in the master cylinder. have you checked your brak fluid level since?

was that some heavy braking? Smells like you boiled your fluid.

Wasn't heavy braking no, but I'll put it down to brake fluid then even though it is about 3/4's full, just weird how I didn't have no brakes for about a minute pedal just went straight to the floor then went back to normal.

you probably cooked it. I'd say get it changed if you haven't done that recently, that's part of the maintenance

The car was fully serviced about 5 months ago though, all fluids changed etc, but I'll change it again just to be safe.
