I never cared once about safety when i owned a saxo.
I love the generic saxo owners comment though "it's lightweight init"... sorry, it's just a shit shell
Only if you drive like a bellend, drive sensibly and you'll be fine ;)
Often it's others that cause the problems though, such as that nasty looking side impact in the vid

Good god, as long as you drive better than you spell then you should be ok :)
There is a reason Saxo's weigh next to nothing...

First year of driving was soo cautious because of the crash rating (Granny shift changes). Though now i have road experience i know what the sax can handle and drive appropriately.
Avoided many "near misses" due to how well the saxo handles on the road. The crash rating is always on my mind when driving.

safety rating has never bothered me on any car i own
whos to say that the crash you have isnt at 60-70mph into a lorry not many cars will withstand that

It's something that's nice to know, but as Saxovch22 said, you might have a 5 star rated car and a 10tonne artic could still kill you.
Was shocked that my 21yr old convertible is a 4 star car! Although if I roll it, my scalp will be providing the majority of the braking.

15 years ago a saxo probably was a safe car to drive.
With new technology and designs and up against newer and heavier cars the saxo is bound to get wasted!

It wouldn't have been safe at all... People would have just thought it was safe :homme:
