saxo 1.1 progress thread

been on the site for a while now just not really posted much. think its bout time you saw my car...heres a we progress thread from the begging to now. hope you like it
i had only just turned 16 when a got the car so every mod seemed cool to me at the time, but ave changed just slightly now lol

so being 16 i followed the crowd and baught maself some lexus lights and a huge saxo decal for the rear window.....what was i thinking lol

next thing a done was fire on some sony xplode 6x9's that i got in the littlewoods closing down sale lol

then i put some NOS seat covers (baught in america)to add 50bhp to my 1.1..they then came back off soon lol

then a grilled the front which i was really pleased with the result of..also grilled the bottom half but its not that clear

then got bored of listening to music through saxos ten watt speakers so i baught 2 x 12" calliber rally subs with blue sound sensitive neon rings...Blaupunkt amp and a jvc head unit

next was a "max power" induction kit...but before you start calling me a panzy. these things are really good if you are just after the roar. the sound that comes of this is minted for £20. also bought a cold air feed just to get some more air going into it.

now came my fav mod that i had been waiting for ages for.....a nice set of 195/45/15 wolfrace luna d's........but due to a problem of them rubbing i was forced to take them off....got a refund from motorworld tho cuase they said they would fit lol. so they came back of and on went the wheels trims

next a tidyed up the engine bay (not finnished) got some plit hoses and colour coded the plastic bits...still to be done: ecu cover, radator cap, and the rocker cover.

so after being pissed of at having wheel trims on..felt a wanted to do something differant and thought to myself it would make the car look really good when it gets lowwered. so i went and baught some 185/55/14 pug 106 gti wheels. which ano some people wont like but am really happy with them. also got the windows tinted at the same time. just a light smoke. didnt want no limo saxo. also took off the stipid saxo decal too.

added a vts spoiler and a feul cap too

next and to everybodys releif i took of the lexus lights lol. Best decision of my life!

then swaped them for a set of mk1 rears to match with the tints. my next door naibor has a saxo too lol....bit of a differance eh lol

and the last thing ave done is colour code my front lights....which am really pleased with cause ave not seen another posi blue saxo in scotland with them:) also romoved all the pishy wee things like silver wiper blades etc

so thats the car up to the stage the now...next to come will be a twin 3" zuast which is sitting ion the garage just needs fitted and am gona get it droped 60mm level all round.

this picture was taking after the trix show and shine competion...as you can tell its kinda clean lol:cool:

Thanx people. yea am really peased with the way its looking the now. got some mk1 rears on now. will post some more recent pics of it when i get home. soon to come..exzaust 3", and lowwerd..alot lol

am also in the process of making my install out of mdf..willl mkae a progress thread for that but progress is slow at the moment.

erm...just to get it on its arse and get an exzaust for it. should look good after that...ave tidyed up the engine bay..painted everything, oh all also get a strut brace and roll cage, mybe gti leather
its tough trying to afford all this shiz when your 17 and working in tk-maxx part time lol

It is a 1.1i engine bay - looks like my X reg Saxo Forte 1.1i. Mine just does not have the blue lol.

do your headlights not shine blue?isnt that illegal?as for the induction mate,your a basically taking all the dirt from outside your car direct into you engine! i hope you dont live near the see your pistons will love the salt water erm not! altogether though nice colour,nice hoses in engine bay,nice wheels,tints look really good,how about a backbox?please take the induction kit off:D

na they dont shine blue mate..its only the background that is blue...like the mirror part not the actual light so its all cool and leagal :) got an exzhaust on the way soon, rollcage, and yes slammaege. got alot of other things to pay for at the mo so am trying hard t afford it all aswell lol....and the induction. that would happen to any induction kit with a cold air feed! the reason i got a shity max-p one on is cause surpisingly the make a really really nice meaty roar and for 20 bucks you cant really compain at that....considering i was gona pay £100 for a K n N one i was pretty pleased..cause i aint doing performance modz to a 1.1..pointless really imo

Thanx donna. am really pleased with the lights to....so far ave not seen a posi blue saxo with the colour coded lights up this way and ave had them for a while so its kinda cool..i feal speacail :) lol. thanx for the coments tho :)
