im looking at changing my cambelt in the next few weeks becuase im not sure when it was change last.
is it a hard job to do? i think i know how to but just thought i would check :)

It's not hard to do on an 8v just make sure you lock it all off and should be fine, I find marking the old belt then transferring the marks over to the new one makes it easier to make sure its all back in the same place

ok thanks :) wont be doing it for few weeks but i pefer to know how to tackle it rather than getting half the job done:)

ye it fairly easy if ya do it rite!! but u defo dont want it 2 snap, had 2 replace 8 valves down the garage on a vectra cos of this (costly and a fuck load of work). if you replace the cam belt its recommended (but not essential) to replace the water pump aswell as it will make sure either 1 doesnt go and ur new cambelt could b a waste of time. (water pumps r even easier 2 fit btw) good luck :)
