the myth of saxo unreliabilty is busted, round trip of 480+ miles to recover Karl, son of Mandyslover70 from the depths of Kent to deal with a family crisis. Not a hiccup, mumur or even burp from the usually ever un-reliable Saxos. Motorway,A-road,B road, all in its stride. Now,will it get me to work in the morning? Thats just too much to ask lol

Ive never had a problem with the previous 2 i've owned, and hopefully won't with the one i've just purchased.

I think theres a deep passion inside us somewhere that just loves cheap french cars :D

My saxo loves the motorways just not when it has to slow down, starts getting hot

same as any car, look after them and theyll be fine.

Of the two Ive owned, Ive had a sticky power steering pump, and a heater blower fail on me.

I dont like threads like this, well done, you drove a car without it breaking down??...

i drove to wales regularly in mine atleast 8 times a year which is 360ish mile round trip! not to mention to liverpool and once newcastle and devon a few times... and never missed a beat, and i was never scared it might break... if anything i'd think long motorway trips would be better for a car?

well done.

i traveled 235 miles from Hampshire to Mid Wales and back every weekend for a year when i was doing my armourers course and the saxo didnt break once. so just over 500 miles a weekend. fair bit tbh.

only reason it should break down is if you havent looked after it tbh.
