Yes, you do need indicators mate.

When a vehicle is on the road, it has to be road worthy... I.e. have indicators ;)

our survey says UHH UH!

from what I remember if a bike had factory fitted indicators that had to be working, but if not you could run with just lights etc.

IF it has them, it has to have ALL of them and they need to be working.
if you decide to take them off, you have to remove everything for them, wiring and switch harness.

Actual off road types converted for the road tend to have really small fuel tanks? Might be better off getting a road legal Yamaha DT125?

I had a 2002 CR125 that i road registered.

I also did it to a TM125.

You need to get a v55/5 from post office. Then get the bike MOT'd.

For the MOT you need:
E marked, road legal tyres (i.e. the knobbles must be bigger than the spaces between them)
An age certificate, available from the main dealer when you give them the frame numbers.

As long as everything is okay mechanically, it'll pass an MOT for daytime use.

If the bike has a certain ground clearance (which a crosser has) then it needs no VIC check either.

i was gonna put my cr250 on the road

tbh i wouldnt bother putting a 125 crosser on the road, youll be forever rebuiling the blown engine ;)

cbt - upto 125cc.

a crosser can be made fully load legal by a garage, for circa £250
could do it yourself for less.

A kx125 would be well over the 15hp (think it 15? Been a while since I was on a cbt lol but it's around that) limit for cbt. I had a full power DT125 (25hp on a good day) on my CBT though but it was registered as the legal power. Not sure if you could get away with a mx bike as they're silly power for a 125.

Also, it will be shit on the road. They don't like going slow, they like full throttle or no throttle and anywhere inbetween they just hunt all the time. If your not in the 'band alot (which around town will be having you going too quick) it will coke up and run shit. Get to a quick road and you'll be revving the tits off it because of the short gearing.

I had a Husaberg FS450e last, essentially a race bike with a numberplate. That was 4t so didn't have the coking issue like a 2t. It still hunted all the time though and was a pain to ride slow. In low gears literally 1 or 2 mm of throttle would have the back spin up mid corner. In the wet 10X worse! Great fun but also needed valves adjusting, oil and filter every 2-300 miles! Then fork and shock rebuild every 15 hours! They are no good for the road unless you only use them very little.
