Basically my drivers door has completely broke. No way of forcing the door open without inflicting criminal damage. The spring on the pin has dropped off and the pin can't be pulled up and the lock itself doesn't work when forced open through turning the key and pulling the handle at the same time. I've looked everywhere and still cannot find a replacement lock.

Also is it worth it buying one lock because I'll be able to use the same key or will I have to change all the locks for it to be less embarrassing.

dude i had this same problem, you have take the door card off some how.

then you locate the lock, take of the white plastic cover from behind the lock and then you can see a hook shape thing that is locked into the catch of the door. all you have to do is push to aside.

this is the best way i could put it for you lol, i had pics but i cant find them sorry.

The problem would be getting the door card off whilst the door is shut. Is there any way to take the upholstery part off the door card while it's still on the door?

I imagine, never had that pleasure to do it though. Once it's off you're sorted :y:

oh yes crap I was wrong, forgot that torx bit on top left, you can't access it with the door shut. I did remove both just in case.

fit some blu tak inside the top left corner so the cardboard presses and rests against the dash when closed. Otherwise you might get some rattle from the speakers.

Okkay cheers guys :) seems like I'm in for a big job then. The only way I can see of getting the door card off is if i either take it out through the window or taking the drivers seat out. I won't have to replace any parts then?

I solved the problem by changing all the plastic clips, everywhere. I have zero rattles from the panels and pillars now.
