Tyres and MOT

im just wondering if its an MOT failure to have different tyre brands on your car.

because my rear 2 are really worn and im putting my spare steelie on one side and sourcing another steel or vtr wheel for the other side.
just to get it through its MOT after that the cars getting sold

It doesn't matter on the brand of tyre. All that matters is that they are relatively good condition, no damage on the sidewall etc. Legal minimum is 1.6mm of tread :y:

no mate different brands are fine but the tyre must be the same size and width and aspect ratio.(on the same axel) with a minimum of 1.6mm of tread on the tyre.
