Albeit unprofessional, he was just being honest.

Saxo drivers pay more because people crash them more than other cars of the same type, simple as that

Adrian Flux shouldn't be used for younger drivers.....

Reason being is that he just WILL NOT give a good quote due to the factors of high risk, inexperience, etc.

/thread.

easy:

Was your convo recorded? If so, send a letter with your details on it. Point out the Section 4 DPA + Art. 12 Directive 95/46/EG. They they have 40 days to send you a copy of that convo on CD. Make a copy of it, send the copy to the customer services, one to trading standards. What he did was not very legal on top of giving you a very poor standard of service.

Their shit!

Been with Flux 10+ years.

400bhp 106, all mods declared. 6 points. 1 (at fault) accident. £360 Fully Comp per year, with £10,000 agreed value and a like-for-like policy, including driving other cars obviously. Far from shit. The premium is a reflection of the risk you pose to them for the insurance you need. Not on YOUR car, but on the potential damage you can do to someone else...

There is no such thing as a shit insurance company, everyone has different experiences whether it be with the price they pay or for how claims are handled etc.

For 100 people that say Flux are shit, you could probably find another 100 people who say they are great.

There are a lot of threads bashing Elephant/Admiral but they have been the best (price wise) for the past 3-4 years for me so I can't fault them.....I have never had to claim though so can't comment on that.

As Ross said, the price you pay is based on the risk YOU pose and that takes into account your age, your occupation, your postcode, how long you have had your licence etc etc.

Thats actually a fair point - I've claimed through flux and they were very good. Fast processing of the claim, kept me informed of the stages throughout and helpful whenever I had questions.

Conversely I've also claimed through "Shelia Wheels" for a house insurance claim when we were burgled in January and they WERE shit - took them over 6 MONTHS to payout and they argued every step of the way, fighting over the smallest (£16!) detail in some cases.

I guess the only true measure of an insurance company is not how quick they take your money or how much they take, but the service you get FOR that money.

We are now paying 50% more for our house insurance but with a company that comes with an amazing reputation for service. I think it's money well spent :)

ive been with flux for 2 years on my a3,
and now they want a ridiculous ammount for my new car and they say because alot of them have been crashed in the last year?
Even though ME myself my whole license is crystal clear.(Low risk etc etc)

They are saying your qoute is based on the car and not myself(thats alot of bullshit in my opinion)
