If there is pictures of them on the actual date they were sent and you have pictures of them upon arrival
Can't see why you shouldn't claim against them

if you have sighned for them to say there ok then theres not alot that you can do about it. if you were unhappy with there condition on arival then you should have stated this to the delivery driver and written a complaint on the sheet or asked for a complaint sheet and stated what was wrong. as its your duty to check condition on arival as sighning for the item shows that you have recived it in a satifactory condition..

LOL. Imagine that every time I get a parcel I have tell the guy to hold on, go inside, find some scissors, open it, check its all ok and then tell the guy its all good. Like that is going to happen :S

I sold a set of m3 dials the other week, when they turnt up some how the glass had cracked :S

It wasn't the couriers fault though obviously, they must just be very unfortunate and have fat middle aged fairys that brake in at night and step all over the parcels covered on "fragile" :wall:

Just write unchecked above your signature.

I'm a courier and you wouldn't be the first to do it, I personally wouldn't mind anyone checking if its an expensive item.

Me too, and when the customer signs for the package, they are signing to say they have received the package, but not nessecarily the contents are in good condition, if you get what i'm saying. If the box/wrapping is damaged, I always mark it as damaged.

i wasnt in when they came , even if i was i wouldnt of thought about opening them all up before signing tbh. but the flat spots / dents , are opposite each othe (say 12 o clock and 6o clock sort of thing) which looks like they have been droped ,or had something droped on them. im gutted , if nothing comes out of this and im left to sort it my self can you even get flat spots out of alloy.
cheers

thought you were suppose to write contents not inspected next to your signature if you didn't check the item

i thought it was part of your job, if they were to turn around and say "yeah i want to check it first" you cant really say no. ?

i aint posh enough to have my name on my car im a poor boy...

back to the subject at hand jake if you can prove that rim was sound when sent the best thing you can do is file a complaint with the company that delivered it and fill out a losses form for the cost of a replacement...

The blame lies firmly at their door. Was someone in? I'd take it up with the courier company! What company was it btw? Depending on which one, I may be able to help ;)

I've done a few shifts for DPD and CitiLink at the sorting places, the parcels are taken off a big truck, put on a sorting conveyer belt, then lined up next to the van they're going in.

Stuff falls off the belts all the time and gets damaged, and you're not going to break your back for £6 an hour so everyone just chucks the heavy crap about and slams it down. towards the end of the shift, your hands are so cramped you can't grip and keep dropping stuff!

So probably be able to get some money off them if you make enough fuss!:y:

A flat spot on an alloy wheel? Must have been dropped out of a 5 story building then?
