painting fans.

i have a friend with a vts and he is wanting to remove his two fans to paint them. how do you take them off or is it very easy to do?

you need to remove the front bumper iirc, then take off the fan housing then the fan itself. long job to do something little, but i must say that it does look good if done right :y:

is it easy to get the fans off from the housing. yea it is a subtle jobs but a like the look of it.

if its got a twin fan housing then you can add another fan

no its only a single fan cable tied onto the slam pannel haha will have to get it all sorted. so some have a twin housing and some dont ??

Some came with a single slimline fan that sits behind the radiator. If yours is how you described sounds like someone has bodged it on from a vtr or 1.4. All other vts' and gti's to my knowledge all came with a twin housing set up but only one fan unless it was from europe then it comes with two fans as one is for aircon
