I guess it depends how fast your going over the limit, surely its hardly worth getting in the car, blue lights and speeding after someone for the sake of 10mph?

Got waved down for 40 in a 30 going down a hill. They saw my daughters car seat in the back and gave me the whole "it could be your kid playing out on the street" palava, he gave me warning and let me on my way. It was decent of him, but still was thinking about how my 3 year old would not be out playing near a main road where folk usually do alot more than 40mph

and many years ago (before my time driving) I was told that some speed camera's flashed infront, hence why I wrote infront, but due to Epileptics etc it was soon changed.

Unsure if there was ever a Speed Camera that flashed infront, just from what the old guys say at work.

there are cameras, that are used in certain locations around the coutry, with are infra-red that will catch you front on.

there is one near the trax hotel lol... i crapped myself lol.

speed camera vans don't make a flash . and they also have a good range on there camera too .

A mate got caught by one on a saturday and had the fine the following wednesday .
I think you always get the fines quick from the vans

Gatso and truvelo are the different cameras forward and rear facing

Truvelo are radar cameras front facing.

Gatso are cameras that flash and use the markings on the floor to determine your speed.

Overhead ones are usually average cameras

Might be the other way round with gatso and truvelo cant rmember now

asked a copper this once as thought i may have been done so on the way back through i stopped and asked.

they pull you there and then unless you are going stupidly fast say 50+ in a 30mph zone you'll get a letter in the post with a court date!

did the same thing going up to trax this yr...

the front facing ones if you look really closely almost blink at you, though I was doing well under so there wasn't a chance I could have been done. Does leave you sweating like a p**do in a playground though.

There is a dual carriage way near me, its a 40 for some reason but people always do around 50/60. I was driving down it at about and saw a black audi parked behind a tree and a copper was sat there with a speed gun. I slowed down and someone over took me at around 60 but the copper just sat there :S
