A long shot question I know, but does anyone know the fuel use per lap (full circuit) of a stock VTR?
Doing my first track day there on Wednesday and taking a couple of Gerry cans. I know our G20 was about 0.7l/lap and the G50's are nearer 1.3l/lap so would assume a stock VTR would be well under 0.5l/lap at full chat?
Assuming 2 1/2 mins/lap at 20 min sessions, 4-5 litres/session x 7 sessions, so around 30-35 litres for the day in total sound about right?

I was more meaning so I can run a light fuel each session and chuck in 5l or so between runs. No point taking out 70odd kg of deadweight interior just to throw half that back in to a brimmed tank.

and no point in having tank so low that you get fuel starvation on corners.
unless your going to run a swirl pot + second fuel pump
at around .86lbs per litre you ai n,t going to see any diff in lap time on std vtr by running 10litres too much
just keep your foot off the brake for 0.5secs longer per braking point into a corner and you make up a lot more time

Nah I never ran it low enough for surge. Kept it above the red all day. I just wanted an idea of how much to take and how much I would be looking at topping up between sessions.
As it happens, my estimate was bang on!

if you up the power +the braking and cornering potential you will find that anything below 1/4 to 1/3 of a tank will cause you problems --

I drive 45 miles there and back and have a full day on track with a brimmed tank & a 25l can in my lightly modded vts if that helps.
