As above, has anyone used their mobile phone insurance through their bank recently for an iPhone? Ive just lost mine and im wondering whether theyll replace the phone or give me the money for one, which i know theyve done in the past.
Anyone?

I would compare your bank and house insurance and see which works out for the best....
I went through home insurance and got cash to replace the phone..

At halifax they'll replace it. But the excess has gone up from £30 to £100.

£100 is hardly robbing compared to what a new uncontracted phone costs though. they havent forced you to take out the insurance

Im with Llloyds and claimed for damage about a year ago, they just repaired it.
I then got a letter saying the excess is going up from £50-£100
Still worth paying for a phone worth over £500 though :)

I agree.
A premium bank account is well worth the money for things like this and the other perks. Breakdown cover etc

My mum did it through her special bank account, hers covers all the phones in the household
I don't see the point of taking one out when she has that. I will take travel insurance out for £15 if I go on holiday, and I drive a Honda, I don't need breakdown cover lol

Not realise its dropped out your pocket, get into car and reverse out of parking space

Yer but when that happens it falls between the seat and the door seal..
Or if you have an absolutely tiny car like a 205 it falls into the door card.
