Opinions on the Starlet GT

Just been in one and i think i like it!!

Just wanted to know what other people thought on it??

Awesome little cars mate, Im thinking of having one next.

I like the Glanza Vs more and they have 2 boost settings as standard!

About 130bhp with the higher setting.

What year was the one you went in?

a 94....it had a high boost and a low boost switch!
Had 143bhp rolling road

My mates got one. There okay. Not the best looking car on the market. But are pretty fast. When kitted up they look nice though.

quick, but thats about it really... other than that. . they're a bit ugly i reckon.

And best of all group 6, so cheaper tax and insurance etc than a vtr

The Glanza import is a gorgous little car, I like the twin headlight one but not as much as a V.

Are they really Group 6????!!!!

Great little cars but can cause some problems when trying to find some parts for them. One of my mates had one of the older shapes tuned to about 170 bhp and another has a glanza tuned to around 200 bhp.

Quick little cars, I quite like them.. they don't look amazing tho. My mate has one, its running (aprox..) 200bhp at the moment, i'll get him on here once he has a printout from the rollers.

My mates dads got one. Puts a huge smile on the face of anyone who gets in it. Kinda puts a frown on the face of anyone that sees it go past lol they arent ood to look at

there is a black starlet GT in b'ham with a custom manifold, td04 turbo (off a subaru wrx) and he takes out enough cars, seen him wipe the smile off a scooby drivers face!

they are fast but not 4x4, so handling aint the best.

No mate there 133bhp as standard at full boost! but lets be fair to our jap friends a 1.3 which kicks out 133bhp, now thats impressive!!! I had no idea they were only group 6, just been reading into them and some appear to be gp5 some 6 and some 11 this has baffled me??:wacko: I would seriously consider one as my next car, only problem is the parts! a mate of mine has one and because it's an import it doesn't state its a turbo on the log book, so he only had to insure it as a 1.3! If I hade the money though I think i would rather have a Pulsar GtiR ooooooooohhhhhhhh yes! Proper Scooby killer! :thumbup:

great little cars, my mate had one and it was rapid but looked horrible, amazing on fuel as well.

you would think that parts were hard to get but you can get them really easy just check out www.fensport.co.uk they sell everything you would ever need.

the 2 settings are 6psi@115bhp and 9psi@133bhp that is the standard spec, 0-60 is in the high 6's and will do abot 134mph top end.

ive seen one round here that is always full of chavs(not sayin its a chav wagon so dont start), never really knew much bout them til i read this but the lad who drives it always looks a bit smug. i gonna have to find out what model hes got, then toast him, if it not the turbo ha ha

I like the glanza but think a normal starlet is quite ugly.. Theyre fast tho ;-)

They're nippy lil motors! When I stayed in Falkirk this guy was pushin stupid speeds in one lol. Then he sold it for a Nissan Pulsar GT or somethin. Never really heard of it but it's fuckin quick too! Looks similar to the other small Jap cars too..

Very nice choice, fast little motors again. The pulsar is 4x4 so its a bit more fun to play with. Standard 0-60 time is 5.4 seconds ;)

not suprising their nippy little ba*tards 2.0 turbo standard runnin about 220bhp! a couple of mods will see this easily over 300bhp!

yea gt turbos are minted mate, the later gt advances(1995) are the ones to go for if your after a gt. the body looks like pure agression,

the eralier gts dont have as nicer lights all round. but they have the added advantage of being lighter

the tuning potential in these little cars in a different league to saxos mechanicaly.

yeh there klass mate. my mates was running at 206bhp at 0.8 bar of boost. im buyin 1 in a few weeks hopefully i want the glanze version.
