so ive been looking at two things

1 ) WR450F

I have a quad and off road bike, The Quad is awesome in the winter, especially in the snow when tying a Snow Sledge to the back of it and going for a spin, plus it does donut's y0!

The bike is crap in the snow, it doesn't like turning with the power down, the wheels seem to go from underneath you and you end up faceplanting the yellow snow.

Any quad above 700cc is enough punch, a lad who goes around Bedford has a 750cc, accelerations so good it lifts the front end right up and tries flipping. Immense bit of kit.

i suppose, difference for me is, it would be 20% on road 80% off road. we have hundreds of acres of old pits and clay mines to blast around :D aswell as half the county being moorland :A: only time it will be on the road if i fancy a blast to work in the snow if we get it this year :cool:

quads are good fun tbh, mate used to have a gas gas 450f on the road, it was good fun, but ive had a few, biggest i had was a klf 300, it was mint fun (farm type)

I looked into quads recently, then realised that raptor 700's are 45hp! Wtf? That's nothing! My Husaberg FS450e (proper supermoto) made 50 at the wheel with a slack chain and massivly in need of a rebuild haha. And it weighs half as much!

The 'berg was stacks of fun all the time, I had a ZX6R B1H at the same time, the 6r was quicker, but no where near as much fun! Too serious for me everything was flat out and if it wasn't the bike almost laughed at you for not being good enough. On the 'berg, back wheel then front wheel then scrape pegs foot out then knee down loose back end pegs down save it think your a riding god go home do it all again tomorrow. Too much fun!

Never tried a quad but they do look a laugh, but down on power from what I imagined.

I love supermotos so much that a want a nice 2 stroke sm next, would love a kx/cr 500 but probably looking at ktm 300's or a 380 if I can find one!

Bike for me unless I was loaded then try both.
