I've had a little attempt at it but scared to scratch the paint?

Might have a bash tomorrow using kettle water lol!

Heat with a hair dryer, roll sticky tabs off with thumb/finger, wipe with IPA (http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/IPA-ISOPROPYL-ALCOHOL-ISOPROPANOL-1-LITRE-99-9-pure-/320710861362?pt=UK_BOI_Medical_Lab_Equipment_Lab_S upplies_ET&hash=item4aabdb6232) to remove glue residue.

Lighter fluid?

Payney

I did think about that, and petrol etc, but rather not put it on the paintwork. :y:

Not petrol mate, lighter fluid is a very light degreaser and would not damage your paint work at all, it's highly solvent based and evaporates in seconds. I've used proper degreaser on my car (fuck knows what the previous used had used as paint protection (wd40!?) on my bonnet, done nothing to paint work.

hairdryer, WD 40 for residue.

I personally would use tarsus but if you don't have any then a hair dryer and some wd40 will do it

Yep tardis if you have it, WD-40 if not

tardis is decent, so is AutoGlym Tar remover for getting off sticky crap. Get an MF cloth with plenty of AG Tar Remover and just rub it. Doesn't damage paintwork, just dont forget to wash it well after ;)

Tardis<Petrol

Don't bother spending money on Tardis. Yes it's a good product and I've had some in the stash for a while now. But if you've got a jerry can kicking about with a bit of petrol in it use that. Works just as well.

Am I right in saying that you'll still need to polish and wax after Tardis? If so it doesn't seem any greater than petrol!

I'm a bit old school btw, sure the detailing queen's will jump on my back soon.

AG Tar is only like £4 and good for actually removing tar as well.

Wad always has to be right though, so for the purposes of this thread, yeah Tardis is the best.

Lol ok I'll agree with wardyouduouya for the sake of a peaceful forum. It's a great product.

If you check my progress thread i've already done it.

Needs a machine polish now to sort the last bit.

petrol is brilliant for shit like that. As is paraffin.

Not happy tbh, can't get rid of the ring, think it all needs a machine polish now tbh.

damn you made a clean spot (looks like the barryboys cap stayed on for too long). Gonna have to clay the whole car now :y:

at least you have seen the light and got rid of the sticker :) but on a more useful note, I'd go for tar remover and then give a wax afterwards.
