Don't know if there has been a thread on this but hey ho ...

Right now if you could have cash in hand for your car how much would you ask for ?

OVER 9 THOUSAND!!!

On my sax ive recently had the cambelt/waterpump done, also i pumped the tyres up yesterday, so to compensate those in, id say around £1750.20 :homme: Which for the Ugandan members on here, is the equivalent to 7851462.00 Ugandan Dollars.

recently put mine up for £1500, got offered the full asking price by some guy.. but it made me seriously think.. i ended up declining it and kept the car.

LouisUK
15th October 2011, 21:14
£1200 but would be happy with £1k for it.

Daz15
15th October 2011, 21:29
would sell mine for £800 which is what im after for mine at the moment

Carl-h
15th October 2011, 22:29
I'd probably only let it go for 2k at the moment, not because it's worth that, but because I'd probably get another anyway! Might even be 2.5k! There's not much that I can match this with performance and cost to run. Insurance is a big one for me, if It wasn't I could sell it for what it's worth and but an MR2 turbo with change :D

Moke
15th October 2011, 22:31
I'd aim to get at least £1k for mine tbh.

ed-bradley
15th October 2011, 22:32
Feck knows, A local lad offered me £800 for mine 2 days ago.
So That would be epic if I get that, although.. I'd probably split mine for parts, If I could get £600 I'd be chuffed.

if someone offered me £5k i still wouldn't, around £7-8k and i prob would. I know i'd get absoloutly nowhere near that but right now i love it and thats what it means to me, to build another will cost that much anyway.

When i come to sell it i prob will sell it cheaper as a whole as i bought it like that and i'd like someone else to enjoy it - that day is a little way off yet though.

well its worth a few hundred quid probs. i could blow that in a week on shite i dont need. id rather keep the car as a track car. unless somebody knocked on my door with 2k in there hand its not worth selling. i have other cars and a bike so its just a cheap toy

Depends what car you want.

Impreza, saxo VTS, corsa diesel?

The VTS i'd let go for £850 to be honest even though its a mk2 with reasonable mileage its taking up space to be honest.

kclipston
17th October 2011, 16:37

17th October 2011, 17:34
put mine up for sale recently - two people offered the asking price. Ended up not letting it go as I found reasons not to - in all honestly, I probably just didn't want to yet. I guess that means you'd have to offer even more than the asking price was to get me to actually part with it...

Be sad to see her go.

KieranYeh
17th October 2011, 17:37

i'd take 7.5k cash, i think thats fair

Not a chance son!! Its got an agreed valuation with my insurers far higher than that! You can only get okish minis for that price. Wont find a mk1 even close to the standard of mine for that :homme:

I'd want around £2.5k with the parts that are on it, fair price imo. But as said above mk1 vts's arent worth fuck all so id end up either breaking it. If I get this new job il keep it, fit bodies and get another toy to satisfy my need for a rwd turbo car
