What width alloys can fit on a flatarch?

Hey guys!
I have a flatarch with vtr alloys at the moment but fancy some different alloys but was wondering what width alloys will fit under the flatarch on the rear? If there not direct fit i.e ford fitment does that mean i need thinner wheels to accomodate the spacers?

Sorry for the noob question just dont want to buy new alloys which either wont fit or will scrub lol. Thought id ask before i get the car lowered too

i got a 106 flat arch with 306 xsi alloys (195,45,15), with 45mm drop on the back and it scrubs with 3 people in the back

Had you grinded back the lip in the inner arch?

its rolled slightly, but im gunna flare the rear arches soon

Ahh rite awesome! How would you go about flaring them without damaging the plastic sidestrips mate?

im not to sure on a 3 door, mines a 5 door
