View Full Version : How much to get a door sprayed?

Ever since my car was broken into the replacement door from the scrap yard has been doing my head in as theres a bend in the frame above the mirror and it whistles anything past 30mph.

Now weirdly enough, I live in a town of about 30,000 people and I've just found a door, driversside on ebay primed for spraying and he/she is located in the same town. The odds of that was very unlikely, but could it be quite costly to get it sprayed or not?

Cheers in advance.

could see if they could do you a deal on it as you live local and would be able to pick it up? obviously the price will vary depending on the bodyshop that you take it to but seeing as its already primed i reckon you would be able to get it done for no more than 200 quid ish maybe a bit less

Well the doors got no bids at 20£ at the moment, so I was hoping 200 or less.

Dunno tbh.

worth bidding at that sorta money. you could ring round a few places to get a quote for it to be sprayed before bidding and then you know how much its gunna cost you. on the other hand you could try looking for another door from a scrappy? will definately work out cheaper but its whether you can find one in your colour in a decent condition

same as Yate5y, i wouldnt pay more than £150. i paid £90 to have bonnet sprayed and that was with metal plates being welded on and smoothed aswel where my washer jets used to be.

it will depend on if they have to do any work on it. if you want to keep the cost down strip the door first and just take the door in and put it back on yourself and i reckon you could get it done for £75 max
