check you have power to the switch then if you do check you have power to the plug that plugs into the motor. If you have power to both then its the motor that's fubard.

Check the door runners for obstructions and the plastic clips for damage. You are getting power to the motor so the plugs are ok and it works both ways so the motor/switch is ok. Another possibility is the wires on the mechanism are damaged.

As said above check window wires are ok, grease up the runners. When you use the window does the glass stay level? Theres a plastic clip at the rear of the window that holds the back in the runner mine was missing and caused me all sorts of problems until I put another in, now it works fine

there's definately nothing IN the runner either side, and the glass says level as it goes, up, with the doorcard off, the wires arent tangled at all... ill go and check the other things you guys reccomended, thanks :)

ok, looking again in the light, the rear runner had a tear in it near the middle, now i didnt notice because i just ran the key up and down in there before, bu basically i just pushed it back, the window went up a bit more but stopped again, and i noticed the rubber seal housing the runner had come away slightly.... all in all, it was an easy fix, thanks guys :)
